Meet the team
Scott Barton
Co-Founder, Managing Director
Scott has 20 years' experience working in the industry sectors including Research, NHS, Private Healthcare and Elite Sport. He started his career in Emergency Medicine, lasting 10 years as part of the Aeromedical Squadron within the Royal Air Force.
He is extremely passionate about bringing leading technology solutions that enable professionals from all key sectors to ensure that they remain at the forefront and are able to offer the best treatment plans or data options for their patients and projects.
In his spare time, Scott loves keeping active playing golf, the odd cricket match and everyday adventures walking his dog Jess in the surrounding countryside.
George Cummins
Co-Founder, Sales & Marketing Director
With a keen interest in Biomechanics, George graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a 1st Class Honours in Sport & Exercise Science, before working closely with the Podiatry team at the Foot Function Centre for 3 years.
George founded Gait and Motion Technology in March 2018 with Scott and has been involved with the ongoing development of Footscan and Phits 3D-printed orthotics for the past 9 years, supporting hundreds of private clinics and a number of British and World Champion athletes with the technology.
When he’s not in work mode, George will either be playing golf, making music, DJing or watching Ipswich Town Football Club.
James Evans
Director of Client Operations
James began his career in the orthotics industry back in 2007 as a Production Manager within another company, providing the link between prescribing practitioners and his production team.
Over his 16 years in the industry, James has been involved in the manufacture of bespoke insoles using a variety of methods; from vacuum forming, to CAD-CAM milling and 3D-printing. During this time, James has utilised Footscan to aid his teams manufacturing methods and also experienced the pitfalls of traditional manufacturing techniques. Using his in-depth knowledge and skills within this field, James is able to advise clinicians on how to utilise dynamic Footscan data to maximise their prescriptive outcomes.
Outside of work, James has a real passion for football and has been involved in the game from since the age of 7. Having trials at Fulham and playing for England schoolboys were most certainly the highlights of his career. James is a family man, living with his partner Aimee, two children, and family French Bulldog, Beau.
Jack Noe
Business Development Manager
With a background in teaching and a degree in Sports Coaching and Development, Jack joined Gait and Motion Technology to oversee the progression of baiobit, Footscan and clinical education of our wider portfolio of human measurement technologies.
Jack focusses on providing individuals with suitable technologies to enhance their patient assessments and experience, allowing clinicians to provide the best possible service. His main interests outside of work are spending time with friends and family, playing cricket or hacking it around the golf course (literally).
Harry Halsey
Business Development Manager
Harry is straight off the back of completing his Master’s in Sport & Exercise Biomechanics at Cardiff Metropolitan University. With his 1st Class Sport & Exercise Science undergraduate degree, Harry interned alongside his Master’s for a leading team sports and sprint specific training company, providing technical biomechanics analysis for elite athletes and teams.
During his studies, Harry has been exposed to a wide range of human measurement technologies; from intuitive IMU and EMG devices, to synchronised force plates and motion capture labs. With this experience, Harry plays a pivotal role in our advanced clinical solutions, University relationships and ongoing Footscan research projects.
From the sunny (ish) coast of North Devon, Harry has grown up exposed to a host of different exercise ventures. From surfing his whole life, to achieving county standards for athletics and swimming, and various National and International Lifesaving titles.
